Not Sure Where to Start?
The right system depends on things like your meal volume and your service model (room service vs. bed service). Schedule a free virtual demo and we'll help you find the right fit — no commitment required.
The Compact Hot/Cold Cart
Optimus keeps hot food hot and cold food cold on the same tray, using a single cabinet with an interior insulated wall — one side actively heats while the other actively refrigerates. No pellets, no docking station, no heated bases or insulated domes required.
Plug it into any standard 120V/20A outlet and it's ready to go. That makes it a strong fit for facilities that need to stage carts in hallways, run room service on demand, or simply don't have the space or electrical infrastructure for a docking-station system.
- Holds 16 to 24 meals depending on tray spacing (3.5"–5")
- Plug-and-play — standard 120V/20A outlet, no dedicated circuit
- Hotel-style dinnerware — no heated bases or insulated domes needed
- Six-caster configuration turns on its own axis; trays accessible from both sides
- Made in the USA — Intertek (UL) and NSF certified
Built for a Wider Range of Volume
MealPro is JonesZylon's original heated-and-refrigerated cart platform, spanning five cart sizes so you can match capacity to your service model instead of the other way around. The convection heating unit holds meals at 155°F while the refrigerated side stays at a consistent 38°F, and hot and cold trays sit at the same level for accurate meal pairing.
Whether you're running a small satellite unit or a large central tray line, there's a MealPro size that fits — from an 8-meal short-profile cart up to a 44-meal large-capacity unit.
- Five cart sizes, from 8 to 44 meals
- Convection heat holds 155°F; refrigerated side holds 38°F
- 8" casters (swivel ends, rigid center) for smooth handling
- Snap-in removable heater and easy-access condensate drain pan
- Short-profile and tall-profile configurations available
Optimus or MealPro — Which Fits Your Facility?
What's the real difference?
Optimus is a single-cabinet cart holding 16 to 24 meals, with trays accessible from both sides. MealPro uses two cabinets, spans 8 to 44 meals across five cart sizes, and loads trays from one side. That single-vs-two-cabinet design is the real trade-off: Optimus stays more compact and allows loading and unloading from two sides; MealPro's two-cabinet build is what lets it scale up to a much wider range of capacities.
Which one should I start with?
If hallways or elevators are tight, or your facility runs smaller unit counts, start with Optimus. If you need a wider range of capacities across different care areas — or regularly serve more than 24 meals per cart — start with MealPro. Still not sure? A regional sales manager can sort it out in one conversation.

Optimus and MealPro move individually plated meals. Bulk food carts are a different job entirely — they move pans of food, not trays, from a central production kitchen to satellite serving areas or dining rooms where meals are plated or served on site.
Available in heated, refrigerated, and dual-temperature configurations using standard steam pans, hotel pans, or sheet pans, JonesZylon bulk carts support cook-serve, cook-chill, and hybrid workflows across a range of pan capacities.
- Heated, refrigerated, and dual-temperature configurations
- Standard steam pans, hotel pans, or sheet pans — no proprietary trays
- Capacities from 4 to 24 pans depending on model
- Supports cook-serve, cook-chill, and hybrid meal delivery workflows
- Removable heater options available on select models
